NIO Firefly Rolls Out OTA Update Version 1.0.5

NIO has announced that its Firefly model has received the 1.0.5 OTA update for its Aster Ziyuan system. This update focuses on enhancements to the intelligent cockpit and driver assistance technologies. Key updates include:
BaaS Battery Leasing Option
The Firefly now offers a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) leasing program, allowing buyers to save $5,571.98 on the vehicle price by opting for battery rental. The monthly battery rental fee is $55.59. Additionally, customers who purchase the vehicle in June can enjoy a "pay 4, get 1 free" benefit on battery rental fees for the first three years of ownership.
Exterior Design
The Firefly adopts a two-box design with a closed front fascia typical of electric vehicles. It features "Trio" LED headlights with integrated high and low beams, connected by a black slanted trim piece, with an LED-illuminated logo in the center. The rear "Trio" LED taillights mirror the design of the headlights, consisting of three glowing rings. Black accents are applied to the A/B pillars, roof, side mirrors, and rear spoiler, while the C/D pillars match the body color.
Dimensions: 4003mm (length) x 1781mm (width) x 1557mm (height), with a wheelbase of 2615mm.

Interior & Aster Ziyuan System
The Firefly's interior adopts a minimalist design with a 6-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch central touchscreen. The air vents feature a seamless design across the dashboard. The vehicle is equipped with the new Aster Ziyuan infotainment system, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chip, and includes the "Lumo" dual-zone intelligent voice assistant similar to NIO's NOMI. The user interface design of the infotainment system is also distinctive.

Other interior features include a rounded rectangular two-spoke steering wheel, a column-mounted gear selector, a 50-watt wireless charging pad for smartphones, and a single cup holder. The center console offers hidden storage space and a tiltable armrest.

Storage Space
The Firefly comes with a 92-liter front trunk, which can be configured with a partition for a dual-layer setup and includes a drainage outlet for separating wet and dry items. The rear seats can be folded in a 40/60 split, expanding the trunk capacity to 1253 liters. There's also an additional 29 liters of storage space under the rear seat cushion. The car supports magnetic anchor points for accessories such as tissue holders, cup holders, sunglasses holders, and storage boxes.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
The Firefly is equipped with six driver assistance cameras, a driver monitoring camera (DMS), four 360-degree cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and one millimeter-wave radar, offering a processing power of 128 TOPS. Its features include:
