Dongfeng Nissan N7 Delivery Officially Starts, Over 10,000 Orders in 18 Days

On May 15th, International Family Day, Dongfeng Nissan's first flagship model in its electric transformation—the N7—achieved a major milestone, surpassing 10,000 preorders just 18 days after its launch. This makes the N7 the fastest-selling preordered electric vehicle among joint venture brands. To celebrate this achievement, Dongfeng Nissan hosted its first batch of customer deliveries at the Shanghai New Energy Brand Experience Center. Executives, 35 N7 owners, and brand ambassadors—world badminton doubles champions Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang—witnessed this milestone event.

Guan Kouxun, General Manager of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company, remarked, "With the delivery of the N7, we embark on a new chapter, partnering with our customers to create diverse and exciting mobility experiences."

N7 Breaks Records as the Fastest-Selling Preordered Electric Vehicle

Since its April 27th launch, the N7 has quickly become a top choice for mainstream families. By May 15th, the model had surpassed 10,000 preorders in just 18 days, setting a record for joint venture electric vehicles.

Thanks to its exceptional comfort features and competitive pricing, the N7 has attracted a broad range of buyers. Approximately 35% of customers are loyal Nissan owners upgrading their vehicles, while 70% are new buyers, including those switching from other brands or purchasing a second car alongside their luxury vehicle.

The N7's appeal is evident, with over 71% of customers making their decision after just one in-person test drive. Additionally, more than 60% opted for the top-tier "Max" version, which includes the "Super Comfort Four-Piece Set" that delivers unparalleled convenience and luxury.

Superior comfort, advanced intelligence, and reliability are the top three reasons customers choose the N7. A father of multiple children who purchased the N7 510 Max shared, "The spacious interior and comfort features ensure every family member is well taken care of." Another veteran Nissan owner who opted for the 625 Max said, "After driving my Nissan for over a decade without any issues, and seeing the battery's rigorous needle-piercing test, I was confident in choosing the N7."

First-time buyers were equally impressed, with one commenting, "I never expected a joint venture brand to offer such advanced smart features comparable to new EV players. The driving assistance is very user-friendly."

N7's Role in Sports and Performance

As the official vehicle partner for the 2025 Sudirman Cup World Badminton Championships, the Dongfeng Nissan N7 has formed a special bond with star athletes Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang. During the delivery event, both athletes shared their experiences with the N7. Liang praised its precise handling and smooth braking, likening it to Wang's pinpoint net plays. Wang highlighted the "Super Comfort Four-Piece Set," including AI adaptive zero-pressure cloud seats and an AI voice assistant, as key features that made post-competition travel enjoyable.

Nationwide Delivery Starts

Shanghai, a leader in the adoption of new energy vehicles with a penetration rate exceeding 68%, was chosen as the venue for Dongfeng Nissan's first delivery ceremony. Held at the Shanghai New Energy Brand Experience Center in Nanjing West Road, the event signaled the beginning of nationwide deliveries. Executives, including General Manager Guan Kouxun and Deputy General Manager Zhou Feng, personally handed over the keys and customized gift boxes to the first batch of 35 owners.

Addressing concerns about delivery timelines, Zhou Feng stated, "The overwhelming demand exceeded our expectations. We are optimizing production processes and scaling up capacity to ensure faster deliveries."

While expediting deliveries, Dongfeng Nissan maintains strict quality control. The N7 underwent over 7,400 tests during development, 5,500 quality checks during prototype production, and over 2,000 inspections during mass production to ensure exceptional reliability.

The N7's battery surpasses the 2026 national standards for safety, including 24 mandatory tests and new benchmarks like thermal diffusion, bottom impact resistance, and fast-charging safety.

Creating the Ultimate Family Experience

Dongfeng Nissan has placed a strong focus on enhancing the family travel experience. The brand has established over 100 delivery centers and 500 retail centers across 240 cities. By separating ordering, delivery, and service channels, Nissan provides a seamless customer journey. Post-delivery, customers are supported through exclusive service groups offering personalized assistance.

The upgraded Nissan Super APP now includes features for booking maintenance, tracking repair progress, and engaging with a dedicated new energy community. Users can connect with fellow owners and participate in various activities.

From record-breaking preorders to nationwide deliveries, the Dongfeng Nissan N7 has established itself as a key player in the electric vehicle market.
