The new Tesla Model Y Performance All-Wheel Drive version has been spotted in unmasked spy shots. Although the images were captured overseas, this signals that the Model Y Performance AWD variant will soon be introduced in other markets, including China.
According to the spy shots, the high-performance version features a striking red paint finish. The front fascia remains consistent with the standard Model Y. On the side, the vehicle is equipped with larger, newly styled wheels. The rear bumper adopts a fresh design that is subtle rather than aggressive. Additionally, the rear is outfitted with a sporty new spoiler and exclusive badging unique to the Performance version.
In terms of powertrain, the new Model Y Performance Edition will be equipped with dual motors offering all-wheel drive. It delivers a maximum power output of 380 kW, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of approximately 3.2 seconds. The vehicle features a 79 kWh battery pack, offering an estimated range of 467 kilometers. However, specifications may vary slightly between international and domestic models, with the domestic version expected to deliver longer range and slightly reduced power output.
