Xiaomi YU7 SUV Set to Launch on June 26

Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, announced on his personal social media that Xiaomi's first SUV model, the Xiaomi YU7, will officially debut and launch on June 26 at 7:00 PM. In addition to the YU7, other new products will be unveiled at the same event, including the Xiaomi Flip2 foldable phone, the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro powered by the flagship Xuanjie O1 chipset, and a “next-generation personal smart device.” Lei Jun added, “This launch will feature multiple products and a longer runtime, so please plan accordingly.” Notably, Xiaomi also revealed a new body color option for the YU7 called Liquid Gold Pink.
The Xiaomi YU7, as an SUV model, features a distinctive fastback design. The vehicle's front-end incorporates air vents positioned above the headlights, which connect to openings on the hood. Additionally, the YU7 offers various wheel options in different sizes and designs for customization. Notably, all models of the YU7 will come standard with LiDAR technology.
In terms of dimensions, the YU7 measures 4999 mm in length, 1996 mm in width, and 1608 mm (or 1600 mm depending on configuration) in height, with a 3000 mm wheelbase. It is classified as a mid-to-large pure electric SUV, boasting an impressive drag coefficient of 0.245. Xiaomi plans to offer optional carbon fiber components for the vehicle, including covers for the side mirrors and roof spoilers.
The interior of the YU7 highlights Xiaomi's innovative design with the Tianji Screen, a 1-meter-long display integrated at the base of the windshield. The rear seats feature a reclining angle of up to 135 degrees for enhanced comfort. The vehicle's driver-assistance system, Xiaomi HAD, provides end-to-end autonomous navigation, including parking-to-parking capabilities, powered by a 700 TOPS computing platform.
The YU7 will be available in single-motor and dual-motor versions, both utilizing an 800V platform. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive version delivers a maximum power output of 235 kW, a top speed of 240 km/h, and comes equipped with a BYD lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 835 km. The dual-motor version features a front motor with 365 kW and a rear motor with 508 kW, achieving a top speed of 253 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.23 seconds. It is powered by CATL ternary lithium battery packs, providing CLTC ranges of 770 km and 760 km depending on configuration. For ride quality, the YU7 is equipped with continuously variable damping shock absorbers and closed dual-chamber air springs.
