AMG Electric Supercar Teaser: Possible Production Version of Vision One-Eleven

Recently, a new teaser for AMG's upcoming all-electric supercar has surfaced on social media in China. This model is speculated to be the production version of the Vision One-Eleven concept car and may carry the name C111. Once launched, it is expected to compete directly with Porsche's Mission X.

The teaser images highlight key design elements such as the front hood, side fender, and rear taillights. The hood retains the distinctive AMG styling with its vents, while the rear features a windowless design, dual circular taillights, and an interactive display, giving it a futuristic appeal. Compared to the Vision One-Eleven concept car, the new model incorporates several refinements that bring it closer to production readiness.

One notable detail is the car's vibrant orange exterior, reminiscent of the "Weissherbst" orange paint used on the C111/II concept car. The new model will reportedly be built on the AMG.EA platform, utilizing an 800V architecture and axial flux motors. Each motor is capable of producing up to 489 horsepower and 800 Nm of peak torque while weighing only 24 kilograms.

As a historical reference, Mercedes-Benz first introduced the C111 concept car in 1969, with four iterations developed by 1979. Among the most iconic versions was the C111/II concept car launched in 1970, featuring gullwing doors and a wedge-shaped design. It was powered by a four-rotor engine, which was later replaced by a 3.5L V8 turbo-diesel engine due to technical limitations associated with rotary engines. The C111/IV concept car, produced in 1979, achieved a remarkable top speed of 402 km/h (250 mph) but was ultimately shelved due to the oil crisis at the time.
