Volvo Teases EX60 SUV, Set for Early 2026 Launch

On June 25, Volvo officially released a teaser image of its upcoming mid-size SUV, the EX60. Built on the all-new SPA3 EV platform, this fully electric vehicle is scheduled for an early 2026 launch. As the electric counterpart to the Volvo XC60, the EX60 will be sold alongside the existing XC60, catering to diverse customer preferences.

The teaser image reveals that the EX60 will retain Volvo's iconic vertical taillight design, featuring a split-style layout for enhanced visual appeal. The rear design also includes black cladding, a chrome accent strip running across the width, and sculpted lines on the tailgate, giving the SUV a layered and dynamic look.

The EX60 will leverage Volvo's SPA3 platform, which shares the same software and electrical architecture as the SPA2 platform. Dubbed the Superset Technology Stack by Volvo, this architecture offers enhanced compatibility, enabling it to support a wide range of vehicle sizes. Theoretically, the SPA3 platform can accommodate models smaller than the EX30 and larger than the EX90.
