New Volvo XC60 Launched with Prices Starting at $35,498

On June 26, 2025, the refreshed Volvo XC60 officially hit the market, offering a range of eight trims, including both gasoline and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants. The official price range is set between $55,258 and $84,121, with limited-time promotional prices starting from $35,498 to $60,579. The gasoline models feature a B5 2.0T engine paired with a 48V mild hybrid system, while the PHEV models are powered by the T8 plug-in hybrid system. As part of this second mid-cycle refresh, the new XC60 receives upgrades to its exterior and interior, including a new 11.2-inch central touchscreen equipped with the Snapdragon 8155 chip as standard.

Exterior Design

The updated XC60 adopts Volvo's latest grille design, featuring diagonal stripe accents that align with the styling of the refreshed XC90 and S90 models. The grille also integrates seamlessly with Volvo's brand logo. The iconic "Thor's Hammer" LED daytime running lights remain a key design element. Additionally, the front fascia is enhanced with a sportier lower bumper, giving it a more dynamic appearance.

The model is available in four exterior color options: Song Lake Green, Crystal White, Denim Blue, and Onyx Black. The side profile retains its sleek, coupe-inspired silhouette with a short front overhang, contributing to the XC60's sporty stance. The PHEV trims feature a charging port located above the left front fender. In terms of dimensions, the XC60 remains largely unchanged, measuring 4,708 mm in length, 1,902 mm in width, and 1,660 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,865 mm, positioning it as a midsize SUV.

At the rear, the changes are subtle. The new rear bumper design complements the front bumper, while the signature L-shaped taillights remain, now with slightly darkened lamp housings for a more modern look.

Interior Upgrades

Inside, the new XC60 incorporates Volvo's latest Snapdragon-powered smart cockpit system. The central touchscreen has been enlarged to 11.2 inches, offering faster response times and improved usability. Updates also extend to finer details, such as the refreshed design of the Bowers & Wilkins speaker grilles, as well as optimized storage features like redesigned cupholders and a wireless phone charging pad.

Powertrain Options

The refreshed XC60 retains its existing powertrain lineup. The gasoline-powered B5 models feature a 2.0T engine with a 48V mild hybrid system, delivering a maximum output of 184 kW (250 hp) and peak torque of 360 Nm. The T8 plug-in hybrid models combine a 2.0T engine with P1 and P4 electric motors, achieving a combined output of 228 kW (310 hp) and 400 Nm of torque. All trims come standard with all-wheel drive, while higher-end variants are equipped with a 4C adaptive air suspension system for enhanced ride comfort.
